Established in 1937. Van Lovelen is considered South Africa's leading family winery for its consistent productivity and innovation, and consistently producing award-winning wines. It was handed down from the first Retief family to the family, and is now run by cousins as the third generation.
Location: Robertson Valley. Most of the farmland is designated as the Cape Botanical Reserve Protected Area Group, making it one of the wineries that actively engages in environmental conservation and animal protection.
In particular, this series of Rhino Runs will be donated to the protection of the endangered African rhinoceros (Player Ntombela Foundation).
