Paselene Premium Shiner White 2018
Paserene Premium Shiner White 2018
Maker comment
The scent includes chamomile, grapefruit and zesty yellow plum, inviting you to a tropical beachside retreat. Citrus notes of lilac and bergamot add a sophisticated herbal note. Finally, you can feel the warm Christmas spice. The palate starts strong with pineapple and honeydew melon flavors coming to the fore. After the first sip, herbal notes spread, followed by light lanolin and baked apple flavors. A salty finish nicely sums up this layered Franschhoek wine, and one sip reveals the diversity of the terroir.
food pairing
This full-bodied Franschhoek wine shines with roasted asparagus and artichokes drenched in a citrus sauce and topped with herbs. White fish and shellfish are great to eat slowly over a long period of time and sip generously of our stunning shiners. Grilled pork or chicken with a tomato-based sauce is also a great option to accompany the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh oysters and scallops seasoned with dill and coriander can also be enjoyed with this wine.

overview
●Cap: cork ●Cultivation/soil: Our unique 'Shiner White' grapes come from our vineyards in Franschhoek. Semillon Gris thrives on sandy soils and mild climates, while Sauvignon Blanc thrives in this mild terroir.
●Manufacturing: Fermented in old oak and partially aged in new French oak barrels for less than two years. Semillon Gris is a unique phenomenon in viticulture. Green grapes turn red one year and turn green the next. The color of the fruit is pink or black at first, and when the color changes, it is called Semillon Gris. It is much more unique than regular Semillon and has a very heavy strength. Semillon Gris ages longer in the bottle and is heavier in the mouth.
