Maker comment
Pioneer of Shiraz, Zandbriet. The production of Shiraz has the longest history in Robertson, South Africa, and is the producer of many award-winning premium wines. A superb rosé that allows you to enjoy Shiraz made from excellent soils. Aromas of rose, melon, strawberry and raspberry. The flavor is round and you can enjoy a refreshing acidity. The finish is wrapped in a pleasant flower with a red fruit flavor.

Producer information
Established in 1838, a pioneer of Shiraz in the Robertson Wine Valley.
Zandbriet was one of the first Shiraz growers in Robertson. Not only is it blessed with favorable soil and climate conditions, but it has also produced a number of premium award-winning wines over the years, making full use of traditional and modern techniques in carefully cultivated and brewed methods.
Zandvriet is located on the outskirts of Ashton in the Robertson Valley, straddling the Cogman River and the foothills of Langeberg, on north-southeast vineyards. To the south are limestone hills, forming a limestone soil called Kalkfeld. Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa, 130 kilometers south, has a cool breeze in the summer, making it the perfect environment for growing wine.
In 2015, it was acquired by ANB Investments, the owner company of the citrus fruit trademark (ClemenGold). By changing the vineyards to citrus fields in areas where the environment is poor and succeeding as a citrus production and sales company, we will increase investment, expand the vineyards, and expand services such as tasting rooms attached to wineries. is ready.
In October 2019, the premier wine range was transferred from ANB Investments to Van Loveren Family Vineyards, with Zandbriet focusing on the successful citrus industry. However, the Zandbriet vinification facility is rented by Van Loveren, and the team of winemaker Jacques Cilliers, who transferred from Zandbriet to Van Loveren, continues to make wine as before.
Zandbriet is consistently rated for its timeless elegance, style and quality, ensuring its status as one of South Africa's leading producers.
