The base wine is fermented and aged for 6 months in third-fill French oak barrels. It is then bottle-aged for a further 56 months on its lees before being released.

Producer Information
My Wyn is a small winery nestled in the hills of Franschhoek. In 2001, after Jacqueline Hersbrook studied at the Cape Wine Academy, she purchased one ton of La Motte Shiraz grapes from Franschhoek and began making her own wine. Now, she has expanded to other varieties and is a member of the Franschhoek Vignerons, recognized as their smallest cellar. In 2020, she achieved the highest score in the Cabernet Franc Challenge and won the first ever Coby Fan Aurt Cabernet Franc Trophy.
