Maker comment
Deep dark chocolate and enticing cedar notes are followed by notes of blackberry jam, cherry and cassis. The well-structured palate has firm, sweet tannins and a wide range of flavors, including black cherry and red fruit, with rich notes of oak and vanilla. The scent is now long and smooth, and as the years go by it develops even more attractive characteristics.

Producer information
Diemers Dal is a well-known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley, one of the Cape's oldest wine regions. Six generations of the Louw family have been making wine at Diemers Dall since the land was handed over to them in 1885. More than 12 years later, Diemersdaal is now part of the Wines of Origin Cape Town, and every afternoon a cool mist from the Atlantic Ocean blankets the vineyards, making the wines of Diemersdaal It creates unique features.
overview
●Cap: Screw Cap ●Cultivation/Soil: The vines are rooted in deep red Hatton soils on north-facing slopes that receive southerly winds in the summer and frontal winds that blow the Cape from the north in the winter. Cool growing conditions on the exposed side and dry farming practices allow fruit to develop slowly and maximize varietal expression on the vine. The fruit grows slowly and expresses the maximum variety on the vine. The result is tightly packed clusters of small fruit, suitable for producing wines of structure, elegance and refinement.
●Manufacturing: 40% new 225L French oak barrels aged for 20 months .
